American Veteran Home Inspection Inc. is a Veteran owned and operated home inspection firm serving customers throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington D.C. areas. Our company was founded by two military veterans each with one goal in mind: to provide the highest standard of home inspection service, and to give back to both our local and veteran communities.

Jim is an INTERNACHI licensed home inspector and the founder of AMVET Home Inspections. He is a 30 year military veteran who served multiple tours in both Afghanistan (OEF) and Iraq (OIF). After retiring Jim chose to give back to the veteran community via forming AMVET Home Inspections. As part of this effort a portion of each inspection

Stephen
Stephen serves as our senior home inspector. In addition to traditional homes he is also licensed for inspecting New Residential Structures (NRS) as well as using Infrared Thermal Imaging during our inspections. Stephen has a B.S. in chemistry from Case Western University and services the Virginia, Maryland, and the DC areas.

Stephen
Javier is an ASHI licensed home inspector servicing both the Virginia and DC areas. While serving in the Marine Corps Javier served as a light armor infantryman. After completing his service Javier chose to use his leadership skills in a second career as a home inspector.

Matt is AMVET's newest addition and has been inspecting homes for over 12 years now. He's ASHI certified in inspecting new residential structures (NRS) as well as Radon testing and Thermal Imaging. I take great pride in my work and finding the difficult or obscure defect is very rewarding to me. I intend to find the issues and call them out for your benefit.
